1. Introduction

Welcome to NEW RISHIKESH TRANSPORT. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our transport and logistics services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Services

NEW RISHIKESH TRANSPORT provides the following services:

• Parcel and courier delivery services
• Door-to-door delivery
• Branch-to-branch transfer
• Full Truck Load (FTL) services
• Godown and storage facilities
• LR (Lorry Receipt) booking

3. Booking and Documentation

3.1. All bookings must be made with accurate information about the consignment including weight, dimensions, contents, and value.

3.2. A Lorry Receipt (LR) will be issued for every consignment, which serves as the contract of carriage.

3.3. The consignor is responsible for proper packaging of goods. We are not liable for damage due to inadequate packaging.

3.4. Prohibited items include hazardous materials, explosives, illegal substances, and any items restricted by law.

4. Charges and Payment

4.1. Transport charges are calculated based on weight, volume, distance, and service type.

4.2. Payment can be made as:

• Paid: Payment made by consignor at booking
• To Pay: Payment to be collected from consignee at delivery
• Credit: For approved credit customers with monthly billing

4.3. We accept payment through cash, UPI, net banking, and other digital payment methods.

4.4. GST and other applicable taxes will be charged as per government regulations.

5. Delivery and Transit

5.1. Estimated delivery times are indicative and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances.

5.2. We are not responsible for delays caused by natural disasters, strikes, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

5.3. Door delivery will be made to the address specified. If the consignee is unavailable, we may attempt redelivery or hold goods at the nearest branch.

5.4. Consignee must verify the goods at the time of delivery and note any discrepancies on the delivery receipt.

6. Liability and Claims

6.1. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the declared value of goods or a maximum limit as per our tariff, whichever is lower.

6.2. Claims for loss or damage must be filed within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery for non-delivery).

6.3. We are not liable for:

• Damage due to improper packaging by the consignor
• Inherent vice or nature of goods
• Acts of God, war, riots, or strikes
• Consequential or indirect losses

7. Insurance

7.1. Customers are advised to insure valuable goods independently.

7.2. We may offer optional transit insurance at additional cost.

8. Unclaimed Goods

8.1. Goods not collected within 30 days of arrival may be disposed of after due notice.

8.2. Storage charges will apply for goods held beyond the free storage period.

9. Governing Law

9.1. These terms are governed by the laws of India.

9.2. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Sivakasi/Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu.

10. Amendments

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of amended terms.
